Every engineer from Maharashtra is proud to be an engineer and we celebrate \u2018Engineers Day\u2019 on 15th<\/sup> September happily. And yes, we should celebrate engineers day\u2026somebody will ask why we should not celebrate. But based on my experience being in engineering sector since last 22 years, at the beginning after college pass out we are engineers on paper and not from the knowledge perspective, I was not different with respect to what I am saying. I graduated as B.E. Electronics from pune university in 1998 and when started applying for jobs. In one of the interview I was asked to design timer circuit on bread board, I was also told that I can take help of any material that is needed from the book shelf. But even having book shelf related to electronics next to me and all required resources, I could not design the timer circuit, and you can imagine what might have happened to my interview. But the interview panel was generous enough to give me 15 days of period to study and asked me to re-appear the interview again, I studied hard and then cracked the interview. I learned all my electronics engineering skills on job in this company, I am thankful to god that I got good manager and boss in that job which helped me to become actual engineer and not just engineer on paper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, to all engineers from Maharashtra, India. I have question for you, do you feel that you are really an engineer by having required knowledge and skill sets or you are an engineer on paper. This is my humble request to you to cross check the same. It is always better to have realistic understanding of yourself in order to move ahead with your life goals. In case you are not having required skillsets as an engineer even after completing your diploma\/engineering, we are here to help you with your career.
